2011 GMC Sierra HD Concept Pictures

The 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept is an exploration of heavy-duty truck capability combined with greater off-road versatility. It is highlighted by a bold exterior design, enhanced all-terrain suspension and premium details expected of a GMC – all designed to enable greater access to off-road destinations.

The new 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept underpins the All Terrain HD concept, with a modified, production-based 4WD chassis and the Duramax diesel/Allison 1000 six-speed powertrain. The enhanced suspension and unique body dimensions, including increased ground clearance and wider track, as well as greater approach/departure angles, deliver off-road capability while maintaining HD levels of payload and trailering capacity.

“The 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept takes GMC’s outstanding new HD platform to the next level, marries it to the legendary Duramax diesel/Allison transmission, and provides a heavy-duty expression of GMC’s premium All Terrain package,” said Lisa Hutchinson, GMC product marketing director. “It delivers the exceptional capabilities of the 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept – hauling, towing and performance – and applies them to the toughest driving environments. It’s the ultimate professional-grade toolfor construction crews, ranchers and adventurers whose activities aren’t limited by where the pavement ends.”

The 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept features a unique five-foot, eight-inch Crew Cab/short box body configuration that supports a wheels-at-the-corners proportion. Shorter in overall length than production 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept models, the concept’s dimensions contribute to greater approach/departure angles. Additional off-road elements include:

Wider, 73-inch (1,853 mm) track for greater stability
Approximately 3 inches (76 mm) greater ground clearance
Custom front upper and lower control arms
Specially constructed Fox off-road shocks with remote fluid reservoirs (integrated in the wheel house liners)
Front and rear jounce shocks
Electronic front stabilizer bar disconnection
35-inch-tall BFGoodrich KM2 “mud terrain” tires mounted on 20-inch machined aluminum wheels
Full composite underbody protection.
“The capability-enhancing attributes of the Sierra All Terrain HD build on the already outstanding capabilities offered in the all-new production 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept trucks,” said Hutchinson. “Although it is strictly aconcept, it is a pretty realistic one.”

Citroen DS3 Wallpapers

The Citroën DS3 is a supermini, produced by French manufacturer Citroën from 2009. This is the first car in the new Citroën DS3 (Different Spirit) range from Citroën. It was first hinted by the concept car Citroën DS3 Inside. This range of vehicle shares no common feature with, and is in no way the successor to, the Citroën DS3. The Citroën DS3 is a compact car which competes against the MINI, Alfa Romeo MiTo and Audi A1.

The Citroën DS3 features prominently in the video for the Pixie Lott song "Broken Arrow". It is the first car that has had product placement in a British music video.

The Citroën DS3 has been named 2010 Car of the Year by Top Gear magazine.

Citroën DS3 revamping their Citroën DS3 line for the summer of 2011 with a new, limited edition model, a new color and a new decal on the roof. The new color is brun Hickory, a shade of dark brown that recently made its debut on the Citroën DS3 bigger sibling, the DS4. One of the DS3′s strongest selling points is the ability for a customer to personalize their car when they order it by mixing and matching body and roof colors, decals, and so on. This new color helps that by bringing the total amount of available body colors to ten.

A new decorative sticker theme for the roof has also made its appearance. The theme was the one that won Citroën’s Créative Award contest and is named Flavio, after its Italian designer.

Citroën DS3 have also announced the "Matière Grise" limited edition of 750 cars throughout Europe. It is finished in flat gray paint with chromed mirrors, chromed door trim and chromed tail light surrounds. The roof can be ordered in either white or black and the only available rims are 17″ alloys, also available in white or black.

In June 2011 Citroën DS3 announced that they had taken their 100,000th Citroën DS3 order.

Dodge Charger SRT8 2011 Pictures

The all-new Dodge Charger is immediately recognizable but boasts many enhancements inside, outside and underneath its more aggressive skin.

From the front, the crosshair grille returns, although the headlamps are more canted than before and the fascia tilts at a slightly more aggressive angle. The Dodge Charger's side profile is sleeker and more coupe-esque than the outgoing model and revised wheel designs look more upscale than before.

Perhaps the biggest changes have been applied to the Charger's tail, where a full-width tail lamp arrangement visually links the Charger with both past Dodge Charger's models and the company's Dodge Challenger sibling.

Dodge calls the tail lamps a "racetrack" graphic when their 164 LEDs are illuminated. Below the tail lamps, new squared-off tailpipes exit a more finished-looking faux diffuser.

The interior - a point of contention for many Chrysler products in recent years - now features upgraded materials and more cosmetically appealing designs, as well as Garmin navigation with Sirius Travel Link and the meaty corporate-wide three-spoke steering wheel that has arrived on nearly every new Chrysler product for the latest model year.

Several upscale options have been added to the Dodge Charger for the latest model, including adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring with rear cross path protection and a rear backup camera with grid lines.

Although the Dodge Charger still rides on a Mercedes-Benz-derived platform, Dodge says that the architecture has been re-engineered so much that it now considers it its "second-generation" E-segment platform.

The all-new Dodge Charger is available in the U.S. in three models: Dodge Charger SE, Dodge Charger R/T and Dodge Charger R/T AWD.

Dodge Charger SE now features one all-new V6 engine instead of the previous two. The new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine delivers 292 horsepower (up 63 percent) and 260 lb-ft of torque (up 36 percent) compared with the previous entry-level 2.7-liter V6 engine.

When compared to the previous high-output 3.5-liter V6 engine, the new Pentastar V6 engine produces 42 more horsepower (up 16 percent), and 10 l.b-ft. more torque.

Dodge Charger is emphasizing its Charger R/T AWD, which comes with 19-inch wheels, the 5.7-liter V8 and a segment-exclusive active transfer case with front axle disconnect. Dodge says the front axle disconnect helps save five percent on fuel economy by utilizing only rear-wheel-drive unless additional traction is needed.

Performance handling requires maximum grip, and the all-new Dodge Charger now holds .90 g. Aiding in the fastback four-door car's improved road-holding capabilities is more aggressive front- and rear-camber geometry.

Set at -1.0 degrees in the front and -1.75 degrees in the rear, Dodge Charger is set up for high-speed cornering with its tires leaning inboard at the top relative to the body.

All-new premium hydrobushings combined with new monotube shock absorbers, spring rates and redesigned front and rear multi-link suspension geometries improve performance handling dynamics, smooth braking characteristics and deliver a more comfortable ride.

Among other suspension .5-inch (13 mm) tighter tire-to-fender fitment, a .15-inch (4 mm) lowered overall ride height and larger 19-inch wheels with P235/55R19 all-season performance tires.

Beyond its lower center of gravity, the Dodge Charger R/T AWD also gains improved handling due to new upper- and lower-control arms and shock-absorber bushings. In addition new half shafts feature high-precision bearing units that are sealed for added quality and durability.

Transmitting the Dodge Charger's maximum grip to the driver is an all-new electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) system that features 25 percent quicker steering, more precise road feel and improved on-center tracking while reducing steering noise and fuel consumption.

Cadillac SRX 2011 Pictures

The Cadillac SRX squares off with the likes of the Lexus RX, Lincoln MKX, BMW X5 and Mercedes ML-Class. First introduced in 2004 as a true station wagon, the Cadillac SRX was completely redesigned for the 2010 model year and born again in the form of a stylish crossover. Just two years later, the Cadillac SRX has already benefited from a powertrain update as well.

Rather than offer a less-than-luxury grade 3.0-liter V6 and a 2.8-liter turbocharged unit as the premium offering, Cadillac SRX dropped both engines and decided to go with a single engine - a new 3.6-liter V6 that produces an improved 308 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque, while expected to match the fuel economy figures of both engines it replaced as well at 18 city, 25 highway. GM still uses the Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic as the transmission of choice.

Due to the powertrain changes, the only remaining powertrain-related option is that of all-wheel drive over the standard front-wheel drive offering. Bob Reuter, global vehicle chief engineer for Cadillac says this of the Cadillac SRX, "The all-wheel-drive system with electronic limited slip effectively transfers torque not only from front to rear, but also along the rear axle. This system sets a new benchmark for all all-wheel-drive systems, giving the driver control and confidence on any road surface."

In addition, the latest Cadillac SRX gains standard Bluetooth across the line (previously unavailable on the base front-wheel-drive model), a heated steering wheel as standard for all but the base model, relocated door lock switches and a new machined finish for the optional 20-inch alloy wheels.

The new SRX is offered with a choice of either front-wheel-drive or AWD. The two entry-level trim levels come with 18-inch wheels, while the top two trim levels feature 20-inch wheels.

If entry-level luxury is enough for you, than the leatherette found in the base SRX may do the trick. If you are in search of high luxury, then the top three trim levels are likely more appropriate for you, as they all feature real leather and more advanced features such as keyless entry, navigation and a reverse camera with an LCD screen.

Traction control is taken a step further on AWD models with the rear eLSD. In icy or wet conditions, the system can transfer up to 100 percent of torque to the wheel that has more grip. The eLSD also gives the driver enhanced control when cornering hard or completing a high-speed maneuver, by momentarily applying more or less torque to either of the wheels to help the rear of the vehicle more closely follow the direction of the front wheels.

Of course no modern luxury vehicle is complete without an extensive list of equipment to keep all occupants safe, which in the case of the Cadillac SRX includes dual-stage frontal and side-impact (driver and passenger) airbags, head-curtain side-impact air bags, rollover mitigation sensors, trailer stability assist for those that choose to tow and a rearview camera system to avoid unfortunate accidents when reversing.

2012 Buick Regal GS Pictures

The 2012 Buick Regal GS, which arrives at dealerships this fall, has been SAE-certified to deliver 270 horsepower (201kW) and 295 lb.-ft. of torque (400Nm) for an estimated 0-60 mph performance of 6.7 seconds.

2012 Buick Regal GS's exclusive Ecotec 2.0L direct-injected turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers more torque than Acura TSX V-6, Audi A4 Sport, Lexus IS 250 and Volvo S60 T5. Torque is the twisting force that gets a vehicle moving and what the driver feels when accelerating.

“The2012 Buick Regal GS 2.0L turbo delivers the highest specific output of any production engine GM has ever offered, and at 135 hp per liter is the most power dense engine ever certified by SAE,” said Mike Anderson, Ecotec global chief engineer and program manager. “We’ve been combining direct injection and variable valve timing with boosted engines since 2006, and there’s no question the Regal GS turbo has the responsiveness and acceleration of some V-6s, while delivering the fuel economy you’d expect of a four-cylinder.”

Ecotec 2.0L turbo highlights include direct injection, continuously variable valve timing, forged steel crankshaft, twin scroll design turbocharger and an efficient intercooler system. The peak torque of 295 lb-ft is achieved at a relatively low 2400 rpm. There is 95 percent of peak torque available between 2300 and 4900 rpm.

The 2012 Buick Regal GS's engine is mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission, and gets an estimated fuel economy of 28 mpg on the highway. A six-speed automatic transmission will be available later. The entire GS powertrain is covered by a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

Further reinforcing 2012 Buick Regal GS's performance appeal is its Interactive Drive Control System chassis technology, which delivers enhanced vehicle stability. The driver selects among three operating modes that change the suspension settings, and steering sensitivity through the variable-effort steering system. “GS” mode optimizes the car for dynamic driving, tightening the suspension and steering response. “Standard,” or the default mode, is the setting for all-around use. “Sport” mode provides a level of performance between standard and GS modes.

2012 Buick Regal GS also features a four-wheel-independent suspension, with a unique High Performance Strut (HiPerStrut) front suspension design. The HiPerStrut system helps reduce torque steer and maintain negative camber during cornering to keep the all-important tire contact patch on the pavement. The driver experiences improved grip and increased cornering power, along with crisper handling, steering precision and feedback.

Daihatsu Materia Pictures

Even if you meet Daihatsu Materia in ordinary traffic rather seldom, the „ICECUBE“ by Inden-Design already has deep roots in the company. If someone is playing with the idea to frequently be truly cool with the delivery of car on the road and the same time to keep with elegance a good figure, he should in this case consider Daihatsu Materia from Haiger more carefully. The Inden-Design Tuner has modified the new „ICECUBE“ cars both from the optical and from the technical point of view at the same time. This resulted in the creation of the rough look. The ICECUBE Materia creates a convincing outfit by innovative design and exemplary functionality at a car tuning level.

With its VIP painting in white/mat (5,500 Euro), the Daihatsu Materia gives once again a clearly improved performance and very individual optics. But ICECUBE reaches its dynamical and powerful design due to the body kit. The whole kit consists of an extension set (four extensions (of 10 parts) for 448,00 Euro without mounting and putting at the vehicle), a rear bumper with diffuser (448 Euro) and the standard front bumper fascia equipped with day-drive-lights (230 Euro) in the front turn signal housing. Further identification features are triangular mirrors outside, door handles and a boot lid cover of real carbon (1,200 Euro for the set).

For extra broad wheel distance, special, extra light and home-made wheels have been mounted.

In this case Inden Champion LM light metal wheel disks of the 8,5×18 inch size with 215/35 R18 inch in front and 225/35 R18 9,5×18 inch rear tires are holding contact with the road surface. You can exclusively purchase the 3-part wheel assembly equipped with high-grade steel outer frames at Inden-Design for 5,800 Euro.

In addition, the rear end has been equipped with high-grade steel exhaust system and a catalyst converter with two polished end pipes for 1,198 Euro, which produce the corresponding sound for the optics. The car handling of the „ICECUBE“ becomes with H&R-sport helical differential gear (780 Euro) even more sporty. Due to the sport differential gear, maximum traction at all road conditions and therefore, of course, an optimal behavior on the road will also be reached.

But something has been positively changed from within as well. Many options in the interior like triangular mirrors, the central console, the door switch covering, the entrances and the B-column with real carbon in silver (1,450 Euro) are just some of a lot of features, making the life in the ICECUBE sportier. In addition, the speedometer shaft, the A-column and the door armrest have been trimmed with alcantara (680 Euro). There is also a high-quality loudspeaker system (1,200 Euro) with high frequency loudspeaker on front and rear doors – finally, a Phillips DVD-monitor incl. navigation system (1,298 Euro) demonstrates that this baby knows what’s what. The sporty pretensions are connected here with individuality, without discarding ordinariness at the same time.
